40 years of health equity
In 2026, Burnet Institute celebrated 40 years of medical research and public health work, recognising the people, partnerships and communities that have contributed to its impact in Australia and internationally.
The anniversary provided an opportunity to acknowledge Burnet's history while looking ahead to the future. I was responsible for developing the creative concept and visual identity to support the milestone across the organisation.
Rather than creating a separate anniversary logo, I developed a temporary graphic device that complemented Burnet's existing corporate identity. The concept drew on two geometric elements already reflected in the Burnet logo – a circle representing a marker in time, and a triangle pointing forward to the Institute's future.
This approach created a recognisable anniversary identity without replacing or competing with the corporate brand.
I developed the concept, refined the design and delivered the supporting asset suite, templates and usage guidelines. The anniversary graphic was designed to work across presentations, email signatures, digital communications, publications, event materials and selected donor communications.
The result was a flexible visual approach that celebrated an important organisational milestone while remaining distinctly Burnet.
